Digital Display (Elgo)
When calibrating your digital stop remember to set the measurement from the magnifying glass and not the metal flag. This will ensure your Elgo is not 60MM out when you cut.
Calibrating the IZ- 16E Digital Stop
Move the stop so that the red line is aligned to the 500mm mark on the yellow tape.
Lock the handle on the stop into place.
Press “F” and “Set” together, this will change the display to the value stored in Register P9, normally 500.00mm.
Do a test cut and measure the cut piece.
If the calibration is correct the cut piece will be exactly 500mm.
If not exactly 500mm, note the exact difference in mm and whether it is too long or too short.
If the cut piece is too short, move the stop to the right (ie, increase in number) by the exact measurement.
That is, if your cut piece measures 495mm (5mm too short) move the stop to 505mm (5mm to the right).
If the cut piece is too long, move the stop to the left (ie, decrease in number) by the exact measurement.
That is, if your cut piece measures 505mm (5mm too long) move the stop to 495mm (5mm to the left).
After adjusting, lock the handle on the stop into place.
Then press “F” and “Set” again. Display will now read 500.00 and your stop is calibrated.
